These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Lyra Tarot mobile application ("the App"). By accessing or using the App you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age, that you have read and understood these Terms, and that you agree to be bound by them.
If you are between 13 and 18 years old, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

The tarot system, astrological interpretations, and AI-generated content in this app are not scientifically validated predictive tools. They are intended to prompt reflection, creativity, and self-exploration — not to predict events, diagnose conditions, or guide critical decisions.
Readings, chat responses, and interpretations in Lyra Tarot are generated by third-party AI systems (Anthropic Claude and OpenAI). AI-generated content:
You acknowledge that AI technology has inherent limitations and that Lyra Tarot cannot guarantee the quality, accuracy, or appropriateness of any AI-generated content.
Subscription tiers: Lyra Tarot offers three tiers — Initiate (free), Seeker (paid), and Adept (paid). Paid subscriptions unlock additional features as described in the app.
Auto-renewal: Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Your payment method will be charged within 24 hours prior to the renewal date.
Cancellation: You may cancel a subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access to paid features until that date.
Refunds: Refunds are subject to the refund policies of Apple App Store or Google Play, as applicable. We do not offer refunds directly.
Price changes: We may change subscription prices with reasonable notice. Price changes take effect at your next renewal date.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Lyra Tarot. Users between 13 and 18 require parental or guardian consent. By using the App you represent that you meet this age requirement.
We reserve the right to terminate accounts we believe belong to users under 13 without notice.
You agree not to use Lyra Tarot to:
All content, design, code, trademarks, and branding in Lyra Tarot — including the Lyra, Mkhulu, and Tahuti personas, specialist reader identities, deck artwork, and app design — are the property of Lyra Tarot and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
AI-generated readings and interpretations are provided for your personal use only. You may not reproduce, publish, or commercially distribute AI-generated content from the app without prior written permission.
The Rider-Waite-Smith tarot tradition and related symbolism are in the public domain. Third-party deck artwork is licensed separately.
Lyra Tarot is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant that AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lyra Tarot and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the app, including but not limited to:
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the app shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app or subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if continued access would be harmful to other users or to us.
You may stop using the app at any time. Uninstalling the app terminates your use. Sections 2, 3, 7, 8, 9, 12, and 13 survive termination.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you through the app.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
